how do reset boot time ? when booting am offered 2 choices to log on to windows or xp home, [want to log on xp home] i get message 28 seconds to choose,

You can edit your settings here.
Right click on
the My Computer icon, select Properties and then click on the Advanced
icon. Then click on the settings button under the Startup and Recovery
heading and adjust things there.

Not so difficult: in systemproperties there shopuld be a tab 'start up options', click on properties. There you can adjust the boot time.
