Best Media Player?

Yes, it's another poll! Select your favorite media player!

For me, I loved Winamp so much. I love it's savvy interface and it's playlist is very well organized. Winamp is popular of it's free price and it can play lots of media types. However, I used Winamp for music but I used Windows Media Player for videos.

BMFX 01-12-2006 08:10 PM

Windows Media Player 10

just be easy it's the most user friendly one =)

i also use my itunes player alot as well

digit 01-13-2006 06:30 AM

VLC eats almost everything, specially the not totally downloaded videos, works well with broken videos, when other players freeze.

Momo 01-14-2006 12:47 PM

I chose WinAmp because it's the one I use most of the time. I do use and like WMP, VLC, and RealPlayer too. They are all essential in satisfying my media needs :)

Re

Windows Media Player is the best. The only trouble with it is that its kind of a little bit ugly. I don't know, like the new msn, its like bubbly.

Twinkle 02-06-2006 06:12 AM

VLC Media Player 0.7.2 is the best for me.

You can play all types of media formets
you can be able to play half downlaod file.
You can put auto forward option of diff. speed. :)

Re

Where can you get VLC Media Player 0.7.2?

ChatMod#1 02-08-2006 02:31 AM

I've never heard of that version. I thought MP 10 was the new one.

eShutterBUG 02-08-2006 07:57 PM

Windows Media Player is my top pick on that list, but the only media player I use is iTunes. It's the best in my opinion, as I have an iPod too, and it's got a great layout. Plus the music store is great.

ChatMod#1 02-09-2006 02:20 AM

Oh. Youre lucky. I wish i had an IPOD. I really badly want one, but my parents wont get me one.

Mark Phillips 02-17-2006 08:16 PM

I like WM 10. It's greeat and has lots of features.

SpIcYjOe 02-18-2006 05:12 AM

i like winamp... i don't really like windows media coz its slow... i am think of getting itune... to give it a try

Juanzo 02-21-2006 10:02 PM

Yeah, Windows Media is really slow and consuming. I prefer Winamp for audio and bsplayer for video.

avona 03-24-2006 02:26 PM

I love winamp with itä's media library to offer so much

rndm 03-24-2006 04:27 PM

I think it depends on the system configuration you have, as WM only works on the "chosen pc's". I personally don't have a problem with it (and have to like it, because the media buttons on my laptop work best with WMP, because they work even when you have WMP minimised, wheras other programs don't)

Simply put, I don't use WMP for the fancy features, multiple skins or amazing stability (it has none of those), I use it simply because it works!

Vlc

i choose VLC player becuase when ever i download .bin files that are movies i can watch them with only VLC

a_brewsy 03-26-2006 06:55 AM

windows media player all the way right from the beging its always had the simplist user interface and offers alot of stuff for something thats free.

TwistedElegance 03-26-2006 08:15 AM

I would chooose BSplayer first, WinAmp second.

But, I'm definitely going to try this VLC that others have mentioned. It sounds like it might just replace my previously mentioned favorites. :D

William_Wilson 03-29-2006 09:04 PM

VLC gets my vote as well, it is the best for overall compatibility, of all those mentioned already, Plus it seperates the player options from the view area by default as BS player does, and MPlayer has as an option. VLC is freeware and available for all OS from VLC Download

chocolatee 04-04-2006 03:10 AM

i use winamp for music and windows media player for video...

sigs 04-19-2006 07:43 AM

i would say that vlc player is the best. it can play almost anything where all other media players fail. it has impressed me the most out of all other players

sreeja 11-28-2007 03:27 AM

I am familiar with windows media player, real player, winamp.Out of these i think real player is most comfortable.

laffin 10-16-2008 10:01 PM

Myself, I like ZoomPlayer for vids. I like the intuitiveness of the interface. Plus the slew of options it gives u.

For Audio, It has to be MediaMonkey. having a bit over 10000 songs, MediaMonkey makes organizing, maintaining, finding songs a breeze.

In my opinion Real Player 10 is the best player. I am using it since one year. And Really I am enjoining to use it. It is the best available free media manager to organize all your music. And it can play all of the major formats used on the Web, including Real, Windows Media, QuickTime MPEG-4, and MP3. RealPlayer 10 for Linux, based on the open source Helix.

I like KMPLayer it is light and plays most media formats..Easy to use and doesnt take up much CPU space

GarethBerg 02-06-2012 06:44 AM

I voted for VLC Media Player and it is best in list that you gave, but personally I love KMPlayer and its futures lot.

veron krosin 03-27-2012 05:21 AM

I used VLC and windows media player since for long time and these media players are great.

heartbeat 05-04-2012 08:00 AM

I prefer “VLC Media Player 0.7.2” Personally I like it because it has highly portable multimedia function for various audio and video.

Mobile Media Player

Well, I can't remember the last time I used my pc to play any type of media.
If I watch a movie it's usually on my PS3, even my music!
Everything runs through my stereo, and when I'm out I use my mobile phone for music.

But if, and when I did, I' ve always preferred Windows Media Player. It's always performed well and doesn't eat your resources like others.

Maybe we should start another poll for mobile media players?

VLC Media Player is preeminent. Few times back I was using Windows media player and it didn’t work out for me as such.

Joykil 09-05-2012 03:16 AM

VLC is the best media player as the codec is already built in the player so the hassle of installing it can be avoided also it is a multi player which is accessible with any media file.

OliverHudson 11-30-2012 04:19 AM

Real Player is the best one for me. It’s very easy to use.
