Anybody heard of OpenOffice

Well, thts the Open Source/ Free version of Microsoft Office, Its being developed by Sun MicroSystems, completely developed in Java/XML, and it is if not better, but atleast as good as MS Office. Once you get used to working on it, you'll stop liking M$ Office.

On Linux pcs, this is the best Office s/w.

Ive used this before when I needed to write up things and I didnt have office. They are supprisingly similar to Office, but they are lacking some of the features of MS Office. Nevertheless, its great if you dont have a word processor and dont want to spend the money for office.

This software package is nice, I used to use it in my Linux workstation in school. I have installed it in my PC too, and I use it on those times when MS Office fails me ;)

I have heard of it. But I have never actually used it.

I use it regulary, and I didn't find anything that Office has and Open Office hasn't. Still, I'm not an advanced user on Excel.
