You have to go into the BIOS and disable it from there. Upon reboot immediately toggle the Correct Key to enter set up. (DEL or F2 or the most common) When in set up look for the onboard sound and disable it. It should be located somewhere within the peripherals tab...or something similar as each BIOS calls it something else.
