I deleted two programs...one of them was WinPatrol...which I think is marvelous. And I don't want to reinstall it, until I get this problem solved.
Then I went to my trusty "Registry First Aid" to clean up the sawdust, as is my custom following a deletion ...four weeks later, I am still trying to get those d..n entries from my registry.
I have been up and down the registry, changing permissions, etc.; I've used reg repair progs, etc., etc., It's not like I am new to this mucking about business ...but this has me stumped...
Two weeks later, they are still there...they serve no purpose...they are causing no harm...and many would say ...why bother... It is now a matter of "principle" ...it's me or the machine !!! And I have developed an annoying tic
...any suggestions???
UPDATE: As of this date, July 10, 07... NO SOLUTION! I just gave up and told my cleaning software to ignore the two entries, as they are not doing any harm.
