Default WINNT.exe & WINNT32.exe

My XP Pro won't boot. I get "can't find operating system" when I startup The computer. On doing some research; I looked in I386 folder and found that winnt.exe nor winnt32.exe were listed. Is there any way to reinstall these files without having an XP setup disk? Also can I use Xp on two different computers with the same key when only using one computer at a time? I currently have the XP on a small capacity HD and want to put it on another computer with more RAM. So, can I just run the setup disk on the bigger computer while leaving it as is on the other? The first question about reinstalling was an issue before I got a setup disk, but I would still like to know if it is possible just so I'll know for future reference. Thanks for all your help guys, I really do appreciate being able to come here to be able not only to solve problems, but to learn more about how computers work.
