productkey for windows98

i have got windows 98 se edition original cd but i have lost productkey slip .hence i could not install winodows on my laptop,(toshiba sattellite2400 system unit.when i tried to retrieve key through ms.dos system it is not helpful, i do not understand how to get it for installing windows 98...narayanarao

2. i have purchased toshiba 2400 satellite system unit with preinstalled windows xp professional and provided with recovery cds. when i tried to install cd 1 iam getting message the cannot read file, application error 437
file p:\ghoster.txt..i do not understand how to come across this problem and to install xp professional , and also to instal windows 98 ,without product key..narayanarao
