I'm guessing since you are getting a blue screen that you are using windows 98 or later.
the number of hard drives should have nothing to do with the issue, and changing jumpers will not affect the cd drives.
Try running one, and installing the drivers, once it is working fine. Then turn off your comp and plug the other in on the same IDE, and do the same, this should fix any problems.
*The problem is not the hardware here. Just because they worked fine on another system does not mean that the new system will work with them automatically.
