Default Wireless Connectivity in Vista

I've Core2Duo intel processor with 2 GB RAM and Artheros wireless card in my laptop. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows XP Professional. Most of the times when I am trying to connect to wireless network from Vista, it is showing either Local Only or Limited Connectivity. But whenever I am trying to connect from XP, I never faced any such problems. The same problem happening with other friend's those who are using Vista as single OS. How to solve this issue?

Also, how to disable Limit Reservable Bandwith in Vista? I can use gpedit in Windows XP but I could not find that in Vista.
