delete indexed locations files

indexed locations files ,i find that my files have been saved in this location dating back as far as 2002. can these's files be deleted or trimmed back to this years files only . i only discovered this file while searching for the clipboard in my system Vista Home Premium which i still don't think i've found it yet . As this is my 3rd comp the files must have been re -installed on each new comp.. my present computer = Athlon 64x2dual -core windows vista premium
