lag can be a factor due to one or more of three things. Your computer memory, your graphics card and your network. You can increase your computer memory and it will make the computer faster, you can install or upgrade your computer graphics card and this would allow the computer to use it for your graphics thus freeing up the computer memory and your network can be faster if you upgrade from dial up to dsl or from dsl to cable. Lots of things go into lag lol. Sometimes it is just the server is running slow.
