in norton go to the quarantine page and highlight or check the file and click to delete. It should remove it then.

Norton not running in safe mode just gives us another reason to keep from using this program.....any antivirus worthy of being installed should be able to run in safe mode...period and without question.

These are some other things that you can do to make sure the problem does not come back...

You will need to google these tools :

Malwarebytes (free version) malware protection
ATFcleaner ........cleans all temp files and prefetch files
spywareblaster malware protection program to clean temp url files and history as well as temp files and also has a decent registry cleaner that should be used a couple of times a year.

manually remove all but the last system restore point.......if your system is running ok and everything seems to be just fine, then i recommend that you do this from time to time...
start > My computer > properties > system restore tab turn off system restore and reboot your computer and then navigate back and turn it back on. Bad files like to hide within the protection of the system restore file system and they need to be removed and this cleans the old files and crap out of your computer.
