Welcome to the world of computer repair...LOL Seems that no matter what business one is involved with there will always be someone that tries to take advantage...

Just to let you of the first things that I do is use event viewer to see what (and where) any issues have been logged. This is a valuable piece of investigation tools when dealing with hard to chase down error reports.

You might not get the exact problem but you will get a start as to where to start looking and then you can go from, if there are no log reports then I start with memory and then power supply issues as these along with overheating are about the only things that will not show in event viewer!
