That's great, but I still don't understand how you plan to get files onto the hard drive if you don't already have the USB configured to do so. With no access to another PC you are stuck with what you currently have.

If you had a bootable flash drive that could access the internet then you probably could download and install linux. But finding a virus free downloadable cooy of XP that will accept your XP key, good luck.
