Have a look at the Compro
hybrid tuner cards, they will record from a VCR. I have been using the T300 hybrid card for several years now and it was a good buy. (I have three of them in one computer to record three different tv stations.)
I recently put a E650 hybrid card in another computer, and it works well recording off of a VCR as well.
