To properly configure the wireless router it should be hardwired to a computer and not set up wirelessly as is the warning for all that I have seen. need to read the installation instructions THAT COMES WITH THE WIRELESS ROUTER....without knowing what brand you are going to use..this is getting no where. Some modems are built in to the routers and would be configured totally different.

You ask a generic question will get generic want a specific answer then give up specific information! A very simple concept!!!
