XP Media Center Scheduler Service problem

In XP Media Center the service "Media Center Scheduler" Freezes up the OS after 30 seconds. The service is pointing to the correct file. The file is ehshed.exe, and only XP Media Center has this service (so I'm told).

I know this is not a critical Service, which is currently disabled. Any ideas how I may fix this?
