why in winXP profile corrept automatically.

hi, one of my system(windows XP) profile corrupted automatically. Actually i don't know how it is gone. But i have taken my files from that profile(my documents, desktop and from etc.. folders). My doubt is why automatically profile corrupt in windows XP. It is not a first time... many more times it has happened. please hellp me....

ok. one more doubt how to prevent profile corruption.
