trouble What base program is needed on a computer to install Windows '95

Windows '95 does not automatically boot at startup, so what do I need to put on the computer first for it to recognise the disc?
Thanks all.

to install windows 95, it comes with a boot diskette, a floppy drive which is bootable and gives the option to install windows 95. Since as you have discovered the CD does not boot on it's own.
