Default Software compatibility with Vista Ultimate

Hi all,

I have a new computer now, with Windows Vista Ultimate. I work in Real Estate and therefore have a GE Supra Ekey (for opening up homes). The software will not work with my computer for some reason...The Complete error message I receive is the following:

Exception that could not be handled....portdiscover.exe Process id = 0x818(2072) Thread id=0x694 (1684) Error code 0x2 (2) cordbg.exe !a 0x818

I've also received....SyncInfoApp.exe Common Language Runtime Debugging Devices...exception could not be handled....process id = 0xaa0 (2720)
Thread id = 0xd70 (3440)

I tried to google the problem but haven't gotten anywhere with it, probably because I don't know what I'm looking for. I'm kind of a novice still, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The software installed fully, but syncing my Ekey with my computer doesn't work. Through the installation process similar messages (as above) appeared foreshadowing the current problem.

Thanks guys,

Brady

Applications like that may not run in vista at all. Try running the program through different credentials by right clicking on the program icon.

I did find this as well.

GE Security Real Estate Self Help

scroll down to the "D" section and there are some download vista drivers...Might be the problem. Down load the drivers and try to install them and see if that works.
