Default Help laptop keeps giving me a 32 message?

I think I made a mistake and I need some help please. My mistake was I got Dell Laptop on eBay and now it keeps giving me a 32 message? I called the guy i recieved the laptop from and he told me I need to get some kind of key code that he put on the desktop. The problem is, I cant get into the computer past my error messages to get to the desk top. Any suggestions?

it would help to have the exact wording of the error code...

If it is something to do with a missing file or folder then you may have to use a knoppix live cd to boot to and repair the missing file or folder!

You can try the restore option if it is activated on your desktop when you reboot. Not all computers have this.

If not then you will have to use the safe mode. Restart the computer and toggle the F8 key until the start page comes up with the different starting options. There are two things that you can try...
1) select to start in the last good known configuration

2) If that doesn't work then you must start in safe mode option and you will need the missing file to replace the one that is missing.
